More paperwork, FedEx fees, mosquito nets and Love Mercy Shirts!

Our lawyer has informed us that we now need to go for a full adoption.  This after learning of a serious medical condition that I don't want to get into on a public blog right now.  But we have now resigned ourselves to the fact that we won't be going to Uganda this month.  Our best case scenario would be sometime in the 2nd half of August.  We are re-filing our paperwork for the full adoption. So we hope to get this all completed shortly and get her home.

A few positive things about waiting until August or September... (I'm trying to keep it positive people!)... my dear friend Beth and her family will be there.  This means I will get to have an awesome time in Africa with a great friend, hang out with her super cool family, and save a bunch of money on hotel and food.  Woo hoo!  It also means that our plane tickets will be much cheaper.  It seems with World Cup in South Africa this month, all airfare to Africa went way up, so we'll save close to $2000... hopefully!

In other news, a reminder about the Mama Kits and mosquito nets.  If you plan to give toward a mosquito net, the MercyTrips group will be leaving for Uganda in two weeks.  So I need to get that money to them soon.  Or you can give straight to them on their website here.  If you do give straight to them, would you mind letting me know that you did.  Thanks!

And if you ordered a "Love Mercy" shirt recently, they are here!  I picked them up this afternoon and just got done sorting them.  If you live around here, I'll get it to you next time I see you.  If you are out of town, I'll mail it to you as soon as I get your payment.  If you've already paid, it will be in the mail tomorrow.  If you didn't place an order, but would like one, just let me know.  I have a few of each size.  And don't forget to send me pictures of you wearing your shirts.  I want to make a collage photo for Mercy's room with all of you in it.  My friends, Kim and Jacie, go to South Africa on a mission trip in a couple of weeks.  Kim told me today they are going to take a photo in their shirts on the beach there.  How cool!
