Ok, not to go the US, but Mercy and I are getting on a plane tomorrow morning. We are flying to Arua, Uganda, which is in the Northwest corner of the country. We’ll be spending Thanksgiving and the long weekend with our friends the Taylors, who are missionaries there. It should be an adventure. It’s a little plane with about 16 passengers. I’m very curious to see how Mercy does on her first flight, but I figure it will be good practice for the big flight home. Pray for her ears to not hurt her too bad. They’ve been better the past few days, so hopefully we’ll be ok. If not, pray for the other passengers and their patience. Ha!! I’m excited to see where Doug and Kathryn live and serve and I think it will be a good getaway for us.
Still no news for us on Mercy’s visa. Please continue to pray for us. It is kind of frustrating to not have any news or movement on the Ugandan-side or the US-side of things. We know our day is coming, so we are trying to be patient. A friend sent me this verse yesterday, which kind of sums up my mantra for life these days. Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.”
